Charminar Remake

This is a remake of one of my old artworks. This might make it to the cover of a story book soon :)

Pencil Jammers

During the last two weekends, I have been doing outdoor sketching along with other art enthusiasts as a part of Pencil Jammers, an online art community.. We met at shilparamam, HITEC city, hyderabad.. Capturing reality as strokes and splashes of colors was a nice experience..

Few live sketches

Few live sketches that I did while studying Visual effects at ICAT.. Charcoal on paper..
We used to get together in the evenings and make quick sketches while the others would pose for us..

In her arms

I love creating art from scribbles.. Wanted to make this with simple strokes and still maintain the form and pose.. Used a frame from 300 ( movie ) as a reference ..Planning to make a matte painting of it soon..

Horsinx

Recently i read about James Cameron's plans of making two sequels of Avatar.. There were hints of having the story shot underwater.. I came up with this concept taking inspiration from the first part :) Hope JC would consider my design ;)

Ocarcyx Mantis

Lately i got interested in creature concept art..This is my first try :) Ocarcyx mantis.. It's an insect living in the forests of Pandora that James Cameron doesn't know about.. :)

It has wings like that of a dragon fly..But heavier and hairy too.. It has spiny structures in the front that is used to sting enemies..

Taylor Swift ??

Attempted a sketch of Taylor Swift and this is how it ended up..She is a great singer and she definitely deserves to look better on this sketch :) I need to work a lot on portraits..especially of women..For a greater part of my childhood i thought drawing women is a sin :)

TetraArm

Inspired by some concept art blogs i visited lately, I've tried a concept sketch..This is TetraArm...A Cyborg wielding a pair of robotic arms and a pair of electric lashes.. He is a mean man-machine organism, insensitive to pain and fatigue..

My fair lady

A random selection from my sketchbook.. My fair lady !

Charminar sketch

Colored by smudging the sketch below using water and by giving a wash with brown paint..

Used black microtip pen and pencil to create the sketch..Used pencil to sketch the Charminar to create a sense of atmosphere and depth..I guess i should have varied the thickness of the lines from the foreground to the background.. Used a photo i had taken earlier as the reference..
